Studio Policies
To ensure our very full studio runs effectively, all students and caregivers must agree to the following policies. It’s also highly encouraged that kids review the first two policies with their caregivers to ensure they understand the commitment they are making and how rescheduling works.
Scheduling: Lessons are held on a weekly basis at an agreed upon, designated time. Make-ups for missed lessons require at least 24 hours' notice and can be scheduled during any of the designated make-up lesson times throughout the year. Lessons cannot be adjusted or extended to accommodate last-minute conflicts. In the event of teacher lateness or cancellation, students will be offered additional time or rescheduling as soon as possible.
Sickness: Please be courteous of sickness and germs. When the student and/or teacher is sick, the best option for all parties is a virtual or asynchronous lesson. Lessons may be canceled without rescheduling if the student is visibly sick and did not previously disclose their condition.
Billing: Monthly tuition payments are due on the same date each month (the 10th of each month for 25/26 the academic year) and are non-refundable.
Discontinuing Lessons: Students planning to discontinue lessons must provide at least two weeks notice before the next billing date. Any pause in enrollment, even temporary, is an automatic forfeit of a student’s designated lesson time. Students are expected to maintain uninterrupted enrollment to participate in upcoming studio recitals.
Liability: Students under the age of fourteen must have a parent present or in the vicinity of lessons. In the event a parent is not present, Emily Moscoe Music is not responsible or liable for the student’s safety.
